UNISMACK SA Security and Personal Data Policy is set to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation 679/2016 (GDPR), referring to the lawful processing, security and protection of your personal data. This policy applies to all parties communicating and/or cooperating with UNISMACK SA, including but not limited to board members, directors, employees, suppliers, candidates, partners, customers, website visitors and/or any individuals and associated third parties with our company.  

The terms detailed hereby lastly updated in April 2020 explain how we collect, make use, store, destroy and protect your personal information.

Your personal data will only be collected upon your request for contact, providing you have read the data protection policy and submitted the relevant consent statement, unreservedly accepting the practices and terms described in such a contractual relationship.

Personal data collection and processing

UNISMACK SA is the controller (responsible for processing) of your personal data and its trained staff work in line with the ten principles according to GDPR 2016/679 namely: lawfulness, fairness, transparency, purpose limitation, data, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity, confidentiality and accountability.

UNISMACK protects and safeguards your eight rights (information, access, correction, deletion, processing limitation, portability, opposition and non-automated decision-based profiling) as specified in the GDPR and Greek legislation; these all apply to any processing required without discrimination.

We only collect personal data, which do not include any sensitive information, when you decide to contact us through our website by submitting a relevant form. The data requested is the minimum necessary for serving your request.

The collected information is only processed for the following legitimate purposes, providing you have given us your explicit and specific consent, which you can freely revoke at any time:

  • to support you in your request
  • to update and respond to any suggestions and/or comments
  • internally, within the framework of our quality services assessment
  • for analyzing website traffic and improving your experience when visiting our site

Storage and retention of your personal data

UNISMACK SA retains your personal data for as long as is required for dealing with your request and for a total period of 2 years for reasons related to quality services assessment.

On the basis of the legitimate purpose processing, after the end of the 2-year period, your personal data get anonymised or destroyed.

We have a data protection programme in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

We have ensured the appropriate technical and organizational measures (such as anonymisation, pseudonymisation, data encryption, firewalls, access levels, authorised employees, staff training, periodic inspections) to ensure that your personal information is processed, transferred and stored in accordance with the appropriate security standards and procedures which are in accordance with the terms of this Policy and the applicable data protection laws.

We have appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) and set the appropriate security policies and practices in compliance with international security standards and business continuity.

All the personal data collected is processed by company personnel only, located in Greece or the UK; no third parties have access to your personal data. The company personnel who deal with personal data have been trained, recognised the importance of privacy protection and signed to comply with the terms of this policy and the applicable data protection laws.
